Unsatisfied with the cheap plastic storage drawer I had been using as a bedside table, I created a simple design, meant to highlight this funny use of industrial building materials: the skinny wooden legs materially contrast the tabletop surface; the heavy concrete slab looks precariously suspended over the drawers. The final product has its quirks, but I realized that these imperfections made the table interesting. This table worked as a material study for my senior thesis project.
